I just installed Server 2008 R2, and am almost at the point where I have a baseline configuration that I would like to backup, however I'm unsure how to go about this. The issue at hand is that I have installed WSUS, and have downloaded and approved a lot of updates that I do not want to include in the backup (this is a personal experimental system at home on my PC, not for a company... so the updates are not necessary). When I choose "Bare-Metal Recovery' in the backup job, it forcibly chooses my C:\ volume, along with the WSUS folder in the root.. so I cannot exclude it from the backup. The only way to be able to remove the WSUS folder is if I also remove the checkbox for Bare-Metal. If I do this, will I still be able to recover the system from a crash or format, or must I choose the bare metal option?

Thanks
